The throat chakra, located between the tonsils and the jugular, is the center of communication. By communication, it meant to say of its broadest definition. There are many other means of communication, not only verbally, orally, through the voice.
Communication through the eyes, writing, art (painting, drawing, molding, music, singing, etc.), are all means of communication. Body language, gestures, movements, facial and eye expressions, all signifying ways of expression, consciously or not, are also techniques of communication; however, they are less seen as such. This chakra, therefore, manages all forms of communication. Start by knowing how to communicate with oneself.
It enables better self-listening and self-understanding. It is the headquarters of language, the ability to express and to communicate with others. It is the point of the exteriorization of everything we feel, such as emotions, feelings, desires, reasoning, questioning, etc. This chakra is linked to our otorhinolaryngology functions (ORL) and the thyroid glands.
It can be said that the throat chakra is the speaker of all the other chakras. It is the expression of ourselves and our emotions. This chakra can detect physical deficiencies, health problems, emotional, sexual, intellectual, and spiritual problems because it is attentive to the other chakras in the head, in which lies imagination, creativity, intelligence, reasoning, rational and irrational thoughts, dreams, questions, knowledge, wisdom, and the spirit.
This chakra must know how to express the truth, not the absolute truth for all but a personal kind of truth. When this center is balanced, it will, therefore, bring free speech, argued on the basis of things, and taking into account the form they are transmitted.
It conveys vital energy made very subtle from crossing the other chakras located lower in the column. So it’s possible for us to express truly subtle things. Isn’t it an ability given to humans so that they can verbalize their states of the soul? That’s what sets us apart from other animals in the animal kingdom that we do share. This chakra resonates around the age of 35 to reach its peak around the age of 42.
If this chakra is unbalanced, one will have tendencies to speak uninterrupted (to gossip as well), bad faith, to become hypochondriac, mythomaniac or on the contrary silent, fearful in public, easily ashamed, effaced. This imbalance will provoke one to speak with words of adaptation, such as saying “yes,” when one thinks, “no.” When this center is too weak, it can provoke multiple and various ORL and thyroid disorders.
This chakra is stimulated by the sky blue and turquoise color.
