This center, located between the eyebrows, enables the consciousness to analyze and understand mysteries. It is the headquarters of spiritual intelligence, karmic memories, organic and emotional sensorial perceptions, innovative ideas, useful creativity. Just like the throat chakra, this chakra also develops from the age of 35 to 42.
The third eye chakra is the center of all consciousnesses: spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and physical. It is the guarantor of our own evolution on all levels and can bring about major changes in our life. It is through this chakra that extra-sensorial perceptions, clairvoyance, intuition, and telepathic abilities develop.
The third eye holds an unsuspected power of most individuals. Indeed, it is within it that communication takes place between our right hemisphere of the brain and our left hemisphere. This chakra allows communication between the instinctive and intuitive right side of the brain and the logical and analytical left side of the brain. This center also allows us to imagine a future project and feel whether it is achievable, realistic, and well in line with our desires and hopes. This center seeks to provide the Yin energy necessary for balancing the next chakra which is mainly Yang, the crown chakra.
If this chakra is weak, it will, therefore, allow the coronal chakra to dominate and develop tendencies to excessively overthink the smallest things, as well as tendencies to become dominant. Conversely, if this chakra is too Yin, it would cause one to have mystical delusions, systematic esoteric decryptions to each life event, disconnection from reality, lack lucidity on immediate actions in order to secure oneself.
According to the New-Age current’s beliefs, many people seek to develop this chakra, often at the expense of their other chakras, yet necessary for living a balanced life.
